There are relationships that develop if very much time is spent at all being a part of an athletic team.
Through all of the practices, bus trips and games over the years, it's difficult not to establish a friendship with those who are called teammates.
Four members of the Starkville High School baseball team have experienced such a bond.
Tanner Clanton, Harper Day, Timmy Johnson and Logan Schaefer are the seniors that will be recognized prior to tonight's final game of the season at home against Louisville. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
"It's meant a lot just to be able to hang out with these guys and build relationships that will hopefully last the rest of our lives," Schaefer said. "There are certain things about being on a team that you won't learn anywhere else and I love that about being on a team."
