EUPORA – Not many athletes can play baseball, basketball, and football, let alone succeed at all.
“It takes a special person to play all three,” Eupora baseball coach Brad Mitchell said. “There aren’t many guys who can do it. You talk about Bo Jackson for a little while and Deion Sanders. Those are some of the best you can think of and they just played two, so it takes someone special to do them all.”
Trey Pittman defied the odds to be a three-sport athlete. Growing up in Texas, he learned to be competitive and grew up with a true love of sports.
In the 8th grade, Pittman moved to Eupora. These days not only is the junior starting quarterback for the Eagles, but he is a part of the starting five for basketball, while also playing first, third, outfield and pitching for the baseball team.
“I love coming out every day and competing no matter what it is,” Pittman said. “(Whether) I pick up a basketball, am playing golf or anything, I just want to compete. Any chance I get to play something I love, I take it.”
