Another weekend means another challenge against a top-five ranked opponent for the Mississippi State softball team.
After defeating No. 2 Alabama two games out of three in the last Southeastern Conference series at home, the Bulldogs are set to go on the road for games against No. 4 Tennessee on the road today at 5 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
"What we say in the league is that every weekend is a super regional," said MSU softball coach Vann Stuedeman, who has 99 career wins and could get No. 100 this weekend. "If you win a super regional, you go to the World Series and you have to be ready to play in the World Series.
"I feel last weekend is indicative of what postseason would feel like and you have to be ready to play that very next game. We had Jackson State in the midweek and we were able to sneak by with a victory there. Now we need to be ready to go again for another big SEC weekend."
