Dak Prescott had to watch last year's Maroon and White game on the sideline due to an injury.
This year the Mississippi State junior quarterback was right in the middle of the action.
Prescott completed 7-of-9 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, a 5-yard pass to Brandon Hill, Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium. He also rushed for 12 yards on three carries and found the end zone with his legs on a 6-yard scamper.
"It was awesome to be out here, (and seeing) just the atmosphere," Prescott said. "The fans coming out here from beginning to end – they all stayed and supported us."
The Haughton, La., native also propelled the Maroon team to a 41-38 victory over the White team in front of 21,710 fans.
