City seeks grant for workers

Starkville aldermen voted 5-0 in a called meeting Thursday afternoon tat City Hall o apply for an Urban Youth Corps Program Grant from the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

The grant would fund a minimum of 20 part-time summer workers between the ages of 16 and 25. The application is due today and a board-approved resolution is required, said Mayor Parker Wiseman, thus the need for Thursday’s meeting..
