There was one thing that Starkville Christian School could count on with Kayla Williamson.
Williamson put in six years with the Lady Cougars and developed into the type of leader that coach Cynthia Jefferson could count on this season.
Prior to the final home game of the season against the Central Academy Vikings on Thursday, Williamson was recognized for being the only senior softball player on the team.
"She played harder and harder each year," Jefferson said. "She's always been real good about coming out and taking the lead role. She's done real well in doing what you ask her to do and try whatever you ask her to try. She's been an excellent player."
