Control is the name of the game for Starkville Academy’s Harper Arnold.
“I like being in command so pitching is my favorite,” Arnold said. “I like having control of the game. The game sort of depends on me and I like that.”
It is not just the flow of the game that has depended on Arnold this season. Starkville Academy’s roster is full of young players looking for a leader and the junior was happy to take on the role.
“Harper is one of our leaders,” Volunteers coach Jody Britt said. “From the beginning of the year, he was one we knew we were going to have to lean on. He had the experience from last year and it makes a difference.”
