This will be a very important Super Bulldog Weekend this year for all sports involved.
Mississippi State baseball will be looking to bounce back from the sting of being swept at LSU last weekend when it hosts Ole Miss, the football squad seeks to carry over the momentum of the spring's second scrimmage into the Maroon-White Football Game, and the softball group is in need of some Southeastern Conference victories when it hosts Alabama.
There will also be an opportunity for fans to see the men's tennis team in action on Sunday at the Pitts Tennis Centre, while soccer has an exhibition match against Alabama on Thursday, and volleyball holds its annual alumni match on Saturday.
As usual, athletics anchors the activity surrounding Super Bulldog Weekend.
Football and baseball have always been a part of the MSU spring homecoming from the very beginning when it was just known as Super Saturday.
Other sports have gotten involved over the years to include men's and women's tennis, softball, soccer, volleyball and track.
With the potential of nice weather for the coming weekend, this could be one of the best and most attended Super Bulldog Weekends on record.
