Consolidation bill heads to Gov. Bryant

Mississippi legislators approved on Tuesday a finalized version of an updated bill for the Starkville and Oktibbeha County school districts’ consolidation.

Legislators approved Senate Bill 2818 after final changes to the legislation were worked in through conference negotiations. The bill went to conference after both legislative chambers approved different versions of the bill.
