Mississippi State's only trip to an opposing Southeastern Conference venue so far this season was a success for the Bulldogs.
MSU took two out of three games from Georgia as it won both games of the doubleheader on Saturday to start the SEC slate off with a series win.
This weekend things will be a little tougher.
The No. 10 Bulldogs (20-10, 6-3) travel to Baton Rouge, La., to take on the No. 16 LSU Tigers (20-8-1, 3-5-1) for a three-game series starting today.
"We feel like we've had a good week of preparation," MSU baseball coach John Cohen said. "Our kids are very excited about going down and playing a really good LSU team and a great environment in LSU. I feel like it will be really competitive and our kids are really excited about this great opportunity they have."
