Mississippi State entered Southeastern Conference play losing three out of its last five games.
After an opening day loss to Georgia to start league play, the Bulldogs have rebounded and won four of their last five SEC games.
MSU (18-9, 4-2) looks to continue its hot start in conference play this weekend. The No. 16 Bulldogs host Arkansas (16-8, 3-3) in a three-game series starting tonight.
"This weekend is a big weekend because it's going to show how consistent we're going to be," MSU senior second baseman Brett Pirtle said. "We were real consistent in the first two series. In the SEC, you need as many wins as you can get. We are going to need at least two wins against Arkansas."
Tonight's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday's game is at 2 p.m. and Sunday's finale is set for 1:30 p.m.
