Very few players in athletes on any level get the right to be selected as an All-Star.
There will be 24 girls from across the state tipping off for the 50th annual Mississippi Sports Medicine North-South All-Star game tonight.
Among those selected for the North squad will be East Webster’s own Quantesha Patterson.
“It is always a big honor to get picked for any type of all-star game,” Lady Wolverines coach Todd Hutchinson said. “This one in the North they only pick 12 girls from all classifications so it is an honor to even be in this thing. I don’t know the last time a girl from East Webster was picked or if there ever has been a girl from here in the all-star game.”
