Mr. Joe Edd Vickery, age 80 of Starkville, MS, formerly of Winfield, AL passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at his residence in Starkville. Mr. Vickery was born on July 21, 1933 in the Bobo Community of Fayette Co., AL a son of Edgar Stephen Vickery and Imogene Bobo Vickery; resident of Winfield area for 51 years; graduate of Winfield High School and University of Alabama with a degree in Business Administration; resident of Cullman 4 years prior to moving to Starkville in 1982; owner and manager of Starkville Ford, Lincoln & Mercury dealership for over 30 years; a member of the Rotary Club; and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Starkville. Survivors include his wife, Lenora Freedle Vickery, Starkville; daughter, Jo Allyson (Douglas T., II) Turnbull, Enterprise, AL; sons, Edgar Christopher (Amy) Vickery and Michael Wayne Vickery, Starkville; grandson, Douglas T. Turnbull, III; sister, Patsy Earnest, Winfield, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral Service for Starkville will be Wednesday 6:30 PM from the Aldersgate United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 4:30 PM at the church. Funeral service for Winfield will be Thursday 4:00 PM in the Chapel with burial in Winfield City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM. Miles Funeral Home of Winfield directing.
