Starkville Academy drops home game to JA

The little things were the story of the Volunteers first game against Jackson Academy on Thursday.
In the end, the "mistakes" were too much to overcome as Starkville Academy dropped a 13‑2 contest.
"It was one of those things where they came out and hit it well," Starkville Academy coach Jody Britt said. "We hit a lot of baseballs right at people. It is hard to win when you let people score every inning. We made little mistakes and they are one of the teams where if you make mistakes, they are going to beat you."
