A house in Oktibbeha County burned to the ground Monday afternoon, but no residents were hurt in the incident.

Oktibbeha County Volunteer Fire Department Sgt. Brad Occhipinti said the department responded at 1:55 p.m. to a structure fire at 37 Blair Road, southeast of Starkville. He said the E-911 dispatch indicated that the fire had been burning for a while. Upon arrival, he said firefighters found the home completely ablaze, with flames spreading through the grass and threatening a nearby trailer.
