MSU Vice President for Research and Economic Development David Shaw spoke to the Starkville Rotary Club Monday, giving Rotarians insights into MSUâ€™s advances in research, education and economic development.
Shaw said MSU was conducting more than half of the research in the state of Mississippi, and as a result, it had earned a reputation stretching beyond the stateâ€™s borders. His roles, he said, were to serve as a cheerleader to endear MSUâ€™s research to state and federal legislators and to do everything possible to remove burdens from researchersâ€™ shoulders.
