Bulldogs believe win over Wildcats 'step in right direction'

March 10, 2014

Mississippi State took it on the chin in the first road trip of the season.
The Bulldogs (12-7) lost their first three games of the Hi Corbett Classic in Tucson, Ariz.
After leading 2-0, MSU couldn't hold on and dropped an 8-3 decision to UC Santa Barbara. The Bulldogs then lost 12-3 to host Arizona in Friday's nightcap.
State continued its losing ways with a 7-6 heartbreaking loss to the Gauchos on Saturday.
The Bulldogs did rebound with a 6-4 win over the Wildcats on Sunday. MSU trailed 2-0 after the first inning, but All-American closer Jonathan Holder tossed 5 2/3 innings to keep them close.
