The Mississippi State Bulldogs looked poise several times to take the lead during Wednesday's game against Tennessee.
Each time Tennessee came back with an answer of its own.
The Bulldogs pulled within four points fives times in the second half, but the Volunteers didn't let them get any closer.
In the end, State dropped a 75-68 decision to the Volunteers Wednesday night inside Humphrey Coliseum.
"At the beginning of the game, we weren't prepared for Tennessee's physicality," MSU head coach Rick Ray said. "They kind of knocked us on our heels right away and we put ourselves in the deficit. In the second half, we came back, we started to fight and compete."
The loss sent the Bulldogs (13-15, 3-12) to its 10th straight loss.
