South Montgomery getting fiber

February 18, 2014

Starkville continues to stay at the front of the pack in C Spire’s Fiber to the Home program.

The South Montgomery “Fiberhood” became one of the first three in qualifying cities statewide to reach its preregistration quota over the weekend, qualifying residents in that area to receive C Spire’s 1 gigabit per second Internet service. C Spire representatives say the Internet service will be about 100 times faster than what’s now available to households in Mississippi. A Fiberhood in Horn Lake and the entire city of Quitman also reached their respective preregistration quotas over the weekend.
