February 12, 2014

PELAHATCHIE - Heading into Wednesday’s contest with the Oak Forest Academy Lady Yellowjackets, coach Glenn Schmidt said experience would be the key.
As the game came to conclusion, the coach’s words rang true as senior Sallie Kate Richardson led her team to a 46-30 victory with 19 points in the Class AAA-Division II Tournament.
After the first quarter, the Lady Volunteers enjoyed a slight edge over Oak Forest at 13-11.
