Five arrested in drug ring

Officials announced five arrests Tuesday, including two individuals from Starkville and West Point, respectively, in connection with an alleged Oktibbeha County-based cocaine smuggling ring.

Interim Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Director Samuel Owens said in a Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics release that more arrests are expected in the ongoing investigation, which is code-named “Operation Queen Bee.”
