State's football staff complete with addition of Johnson

Johnson

Dan Mullen finally has his coaching staff in place.
After losing offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Les Koenning and strength and conditioning coach Matt Balis, Mullen announced the new and improved coaching staff on Monday.
It was learned earlier last week that Utah quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson was going to join the MSU staff, although it was unclear in what capacity.
“I’ve known Brian since I recruited him at Utah, and he is an excellent fit to our staff with his experience and knowledge of the quarterback position,” Mullen in a school release.
Johnson will be the quarterbacks coach and tweeted out Monday morning, "Thank you for all the kind words. Utah will always have a special place in my heart. Looking forward to a new opportunity #HailState."
Wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales and offensive line coach John Hevesy were promoted to co-offensive coordinators.
"Billy and John will continue to develop our offense, which was the most explosive in school history last season," Mullen said.
