Johnson expected to join MSU's staff

February 9, 2014

Johnson

It appears that Utah quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson will join the Mississippi State football staff.
Coachingsearch.com reported the news late Friday night, but MSU hadn't confirmed the hire as of Saturday night.
A source confirmed that Johnson interviewed for a position on the Bulldog coaching staff on Thursday.
MSU has had an opening at offensive coordinator since the departure of Les Koenning to Texas, but it's unknown if he will be the new offensive coordinator or if head coach Dan Mullen will promote within house.
"I called all the plays for us," Mullen said Wednesday at a signing day press conference. "I did last year, I called all the plays last year."
