The Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors set interviews for five Oktibbeha County administrator candidates to take place after the board’s next meeting at 9 a.m. Feb. 17.

More than 30 candidates applied to succeed former county administrator Don Posey, who retired in December after 18 years at the position. Supervisors narrowed the field to five finalists during a lengthy meeting on Jan. 21. Finalists include former Starkville Chief Administrative Officer Lynn Spruill, Oktibbeha County Comptroller Emily Garrard, Adcare Healthcare Regional Vice President John Thomas, former city of Jackson Deputy Chief Administrator for External Funding and Deputy Director of Housing and Community Development Ivory Williams and Union County Administrator Terry Johnson.
