Robert Madison Farrar

Robert Madison Farrar, Jr., 79, passed away on January 28, 2014 at his residence in Starkville,MS. He was a Research Forester with the U.S. Forest Service. He received his B.S. Degree with honors from Auburn University, his Masters from Yale University, and his Doctorate from the University of Georgia.  He was an avid outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Madison Farrar, Sr. and Juanita VonKohn Gray  and also Mr. and Mrs. Russell T. Harper; wife, Mary Eugenia Sizemore Farrar; and one brother, Herbert Russell Farrar.
He is survived by his daughters, Susanne Wilkinson Farrar of Hot Springs Village, AR and Mealanie Farrar Wells (Robert G.) of Monticello, AR; son, Robert M. Farrar, III of Nacogdoches, TX; sister, Roberta Hamilton (Walter) of Holiday, FL.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Salem Methodist Church Cemetery in Macon, MS.  Rev. Bob Whiteside will conduct the service.
