It was about celebrating the present and looking forward to the future on Wednesday night during the Starkville High School football banquet.
The Yellowjackets were recognized by the coaching staff and several awards were given out during the event held at the Travis Outlaw Center at the Starkville Sportsplex.
The banquet is one of the highlights of the year for the SHS program and something head coach Jamie Mitchell takes great pride in.
"We put a lot of money into this and we want a banquet that shows our guys that we appreciate what they've done," Mitchell said. "We want to show them what first class is all about."
