Basketball has always been a part of Wes Flaniganâ€™s life.
Growing up the son of a high school coach, the sport was always present and as the Mississippi State University assistant coach, he knew he wanted to make sure it stayed that way.
â€śI always knew in the back of my mind that I always wanted to stay around the game of basketball,â€ť Flanigan said. â€śWhether I could play it or not on a professional level was questionable, obviously I went through a little adversity going into my senior year, but I always knew and looked up to my dad as coach and wanted to be a coach. I didnâ€™t know that I would get to this level as a coach, but it was something that I strived to get to as a goal.â€ť
