Starbucks construction underway

January 21, 2014

Starbucks has begun construction on a new site in Starkville in the University Crossing Shopping Center on Highway 12.

General Contractor Scott Key of Birmingham, Ala. said site work began last week and he expected to complete basic structure work by late April or early May. Memphis-based RMR Investment Group, who owns the University Crossing property, plans to turn the building over to Starbucks in July, and RMR representative Ann Hooven said the coffee chain planned to open the location in August.
