Rick Ray’s first season as the men's basketball coach at Mississippi State saw two losses to Alabama.
The Crimson Tide beat the Bulldogs 75-43 in Starkville and 64-56 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. MSU has lost three-straight to Alabama, but haven’t lost four-straight since 1993-95.
The Bulldogs (11-4, 1-1) look to keep that from happening tonight when they travel to Coleman Coliseum for a 7 p.m. tipoff with the Crimson Tide (7-8, 1-1).
“Now the key is getting our guys to come back down, get ready and go compete against Alabama,” Ray said. “They do some things that give us problems. They press in the backcourt and we have to not turn the ball over.”
The game can be seen on SEC-TV.
MSU has lost five-straight at Coleman Coliseum. The last win to come there was in 2008 when the Bulldogs knocked off Alabama 73-66.
