The Starkville Academy Lady Volunteers knew it wasn't going to be as easy as they made it look in the first quarter Tuesday night.
After jumping out to a 14-1 lead after one quarter, the Lady Vols saw the Hillcrest Christian Lady Cougars make a run to get back into the game in the second quarter.
Starkville Academy fought through some adversity with their two seniors during the course of the game and was able to win a 42-34 Class AAA, Division II decision at home.
