Mayor’s Youth Council to help residents with energy efficiency

January 8, 2014

Everyone who completes one of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s energy audit forms receives a report designed to help improve energy efficiency at home and an energy efficiency kit valued at $40.

During a presentation on these audits Monday, TVA Sales and Marketing Manager David Sparks showed students in the Starkville Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC) the components of this kit. He said it included two compact fluorescent light bulbs and wall insulators for outlets designed to keep cold from entering the home.
