Mt. Lebanon likes tough competition

December 28, 2013

What brings a team from Pittsburgh down to Starkville?
For Mt. Lebanon head coach Joe David, it is all about the competition his team has the opportunity to face.
“I am one who loves to play good teams,” David said. “Sometimes when you play great teams, you get your weaknesses exposed, then you can go back and get better. We are not worried about our record. We are concerned about going back to our section and trying to get better there.”
David knows a thing or two about placing his teams against top talent. In the past, he has coached teams that were ranked amongst the best in the nation and the coach said they got that way by competing against other teams of the same caliber.
