Jackets sting Patriots 63-52

Eliminating turnovers and playing solid defense helped the Starkville Yellowjackets defeat Parkview from Ark., 63-52.
“All of them understood how good that team was,” Starkville coach Greg Carter said. “They are a highly ranked team, but at the same time, if we go in and take care of all the details we need to, we knew we could win.”
Thursday’s game was the night cap of the Travis Outlaw Slam Dunk at the Hump and much of the game between the Jackets and Patriots was back and forth.
