Put Starkville High’s Imane Montgomery on the basketball court and her talent level is clear.
The senior possesses a skill set that is impressive and is just one of the reasons Montgomery has become a standout athlete for the Lady Yellowjackets.
“Imane is one of our leaders on and off the floor,” Starkville High coach Kristie Williams said. “She can shoot the 3 ball. She can take you off your dribble. She can post you up. She has so many different elements to her game, so she brings a great value to our team. She has grown into her own and is an exceptional player.”
In the short time the season has been going on, Montgomery is already demonstrating just how much she means to the Starkville dynamic. Thus far, the senior is averaging 16.4 points per game, while also pulling down on average 3.4 rebounds per game.
