Starkville gets tests at events

December 21, 2013

Smith

Friday was a good day for the Starkville High School basketball teams at the Joe Horne Classic.
The experience was not as positive for the Yellowjackets and Lady Jackets in Columbus on Saturday.
There was a good reason for that.
The Starkville boys lost a 76-64 decision to Midfield, Ala., which is one of the top basketball squads in the state of Alabama, while the Lady Jackets were beaten 65-46 by Ridgeway, Tenn., one of the best girls teams in Tennessee.
