Spruill, Rook vie for county post

Two local residents have thrown their hats in the ring to become the next county administrator, and both have ties to City Hall.

Former Starkville Chief Administrative Officer Lynn Spruill and current Municipal Court Administrator Tony Rook have both submitted resumes and letters of interest to replace Don Posey as county administrator. Posey, who’s served 18 years in that capacity, will retire at year’s end.
