The Education Association of East Oktibbeha County Schools (EAEOCS) will host a public forum at 6 p.m. tonight at East Oktibbeha County High School to discuss the Starkville-Oktibbeha County School District consolidation.

Consolidation began earlier in the year when Mississippi Gov. signed House Bill 716, which demands that the two school districts merge to create the Starkville Consolidated School District, into law. The legislation also created a special Commission on Starkville Consolidated School District Structure to study the needs and community impact for the merger and draft a report of recommendations to the Mississippi legislature.
