Passers-by of a temple pavilion on University Drive in the Cotton District were in for a rude surprise Tuesday morning.

The temple, located next to City Bagel, was vandalized overnight Monday. Morning dawned to reveal red eyes and sexually-explicit imagery painted on its columns. The graffiti also marked two columns at the front of a residential building behind the temple, along with a fence, mailboxes and a satellite dish behind it.
