It is that time of year where charity is on the mind of a good many people.
The holiday season and Christmas brings out the best of people and many see it as an opportunity to give to others
The Mississippi State Bulldogs were lucky enough to on the receiving end of some charity Tuesday night.
The Florida A&M Rattlers committed 29 fouls and the Bulldogs shot 45 free throws. They made 33 of the shots from the charity stripe for 73.3 percent and went on to beat the Rattlers 78-65 inside Humphrey Coliseum.Â
"We lived at the free-throw line," MSU head coach Rick Ray said.
The 33 free throws made were the most for a Bulldog team since 2001 and the 45 attempts were the most since 2002.Â
MSU (7-2) committed just 12 fouls the entire night and the Rattlers only attempted 12 free throws.Â
The Bulldogs entered the night with just a 61.1 free-throw percentage. That has been a point of emphasis for them in the last few practices.
