SPIRIT OF OKTIBBEHA: Turner exemplifies ‘concerned citizen’

December 16, 2013

Starkville’s Alvin Turner has been an tireless liaison between the Board of Aldermen and his fellow Ward 7 residents for years and is an active member of the local NAACP chapter. (Submitted photo)

For Alvin Turner, ability is a state of mind.

Physical disability relegates him to walking with a cane, but it doesn’t douse his fire to serve his community.
