The Starkville Christian School Lady Cougars were not going down without a fight at home Friday night.
Despite trailing Hebron Christian School for three quarters, Starkville Christian battled back to take a lead in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Cougars could not sustain the success and ultimately dropped a 39-31 decision to the visiting Lady Eagles.
"We were definitely hustling the whole game," Starkville Christian girls coach Luke Buckner said. "We missed 16 free throws in the first half and that was devastating to our night. When you miss 16 free throws, you can't expect to win, but we battled the entire time and I couldn't be happier."
