Starkville High School football coach Jamie Mitchell has had Alabama on his mind this week.
Mitchell traveled to Mobile, Ala., to serve as the scout coach for the Mississippi All-Stars for the 27th annual Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game that takes place today.
In the last eight years, the scout coach has been the head coach in training for the event. After participating as the scout coach, the opportunity to be the head coach generally follows the next year.
Mitchell was the offensive coordinator for Mississippi in last year's game and the committee decided to bring him back in the capacity of scout coach.
