It was a rocky beginning for the Starkville Yellowjackets, but the situation got much smoother as Tuesday's basketball game went along.
In the end, the Jackets defeated the Grenada Chargers 72-56.
"It is amazing how seeing that ball go in effects your energy level," SHS boys coach Greg Carter said. "(in) the first quarter, we struggled to score (and) we don't play with as much energy. (In the) second, third and fourth quarter, we score and we play with all the energy in the world."
