The Starkville Academy basketball teams will have to make sure the buses have plenty of gas and are ready to go for the next several weeks.
Last Tuesday's games with Heritage Academy were the only home games scheduled in the month of December for the Volunteers and Lady Vols.
After being switched from the South to the North in Class AAA of the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools, the schedules were shuffled around to create the large amount of road games for Starkville Academy.
The Vols and Lady Vols have three conference games away from town this week with Washington School tonight, Jackson Academy on Thursday and Hillcrest Christian on Saturday.
Starkville Academy girls coach and athletic director Glenn Schmidt said the thing about having all of these road games now is they will be at home quite a bit in January and "that's where you want to be down the stretch."
