Loss by MSU doesn't help SEC in Challenge

December 6, 2013

The Southeastern Conference has not fared well in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
With Mississippi State's 71-61 loss to TCU on Thursday night, the SEC fell to 3-2 in the series.
Alabama got the conference off on the right note with a 76-64 victory over Texas Tech on Nov. 14, but Texas defeated Vanderbilt and Iowa State handled Auburn on Monday.
Even though the Bulldogs were beaten, Missouri defeated West Virginia 80-71 on Thursday. Ole Miss and Kansas State were playing in a late game.
The Big 12/SEC Challenge continues today when Kentucky takes on Baylor in Arlington, Texas, and Oklahoma State hosts South Carolina.
