A GOOD GARDINER: MSU newcomer makes All-SEC Freshman Team

December 3, 2013

If you asked Kimmy Gardiner how she thought her freshman season in Southeastern Conference volleyball play was going to go, she would never had imagined how it turned out.
The Grapevine, Texas, native came into the Mississippi State program and put her name on the map in her rookie season.
"I expected to play and do well, but I didn't expect to be that successful with it because the SEC is a good conference," Gardiner said. "I really wasn't expecting that much. I think that almost helped me more because I knew no matter how well I was doing, I still needed to get better because you're playing against the top athletes in the country."
