After last season, Gabe Jackson had a big decision to make.
The Mississippi State offensive guard almost opted out of his senior year and put his name in the National Football League Draft hat. He decided not to do that and returned to Starkville for his senior season.
"It was a great opportunity to come back," Jackson said. "I just gave it another go-around, play my senior year and enjoy it with my teammates."
The move has paid off as the senior offensive lineman is a finalist for the C Spire Conerly Trophy. The Conerly is given to Mississippi's top college football player. The winner will be revealed on Tuesday at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.
