MHP receives property deed

November 20, 2013

A major first step toward Mississippi Highway Patrol keeping an office in Oktibbeha County came to fruition Tuesday when MHP representatives received a deed to 10 acres of property on which to build a new substation for District 5, Troop G.

Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority presented MHP the deed to the 10-acre tract at a ceremony Tuesday in Troop G’s current headquarters on Highway 182 in Starkville. OCEDA donated the land, which is located at the Cornerstone development property on Highway 25 South.
