Mississippi State has faced some tough competition this season.
Of the Bulldogs' five losses, four of the opponents were ranked when they beat MSU. The fifth, Auburn, is now ranked seventh and still in control of their own destiny in the Southeastern Conference Western Division.
With all the challenges and hurdles the Bulldogs have already faced this season, the biggest yet waits this Saturday.
The Bulldogs (4-5, 1-4) host No. 1 Alabama (9-0, 6-0) this weekend in a game where the Bulldogs are 25-point underdogs.
"It's still the SEC," MSU offensive coordinator Les Koenning said. "The five losses we've had have been to top 20 teams. We're facing some really good football teams and Alabama right now is the best of all of them."
