MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK: Good defense gives Jackets chance to win

November 11, 2013

Smith

Another strong defensive effort helped the Starkville Yellowjackets finish the 2013 regular season on winning note on Friday night.
SHS held the Clinton Arrows to 117 total yards, had four sacks and forced three turnovers to get a 24-7 victory at home.
The Jackets improved their records to 8-3 overall and 5-1 in Class 6A, Region 2. They look ahead to a first-round playoff matchup against Grenada in what they hope will be another successful postseason run.
